“Yellowface” by Rebecca R. Kuang: A super exciting story of an author who sells a stolen story as her own and has to live with the consequences.
“Mini Budget Maxi Garden” by Angela Francisca Endress: This garden book not only describes the basics for an inexpensive garden, but also includes individual chapters on individual areas such as steps, seating areas and water basins.

“It’s getting summer here in the forest” by Henrike Lippa: Lovingly rhymed and beautifully illustrated children’s book. Recommended from 2 years.
“By the Sea” by Elizabeth Strout: Out of New York and refuge in Maine. A lonely house by the sea and the chance to come to terms with the past. Complex and sensitively told.

“Mrs. Yeom’s Little Shop of Great Hopes” by Kim Ho-yeon: The homeless Dok-go is given the chance by the retired Mrs. Yeom to work in her 24-hour store and learns not only a lot about himself, but also about humanity and empathy. Cleverly and sensitively, Kim Ho-Yeon tells of people’s various worries and hardships, of different fates and of the fact that a small spark of hope can be enough to allow us to live to see tomorrow.
“The girls I’ve been” by Tess Sharpe: Nora and her two best friends get caught up in a bank robbery in which not only their lives are at stake, but everything Nora has painstakingly built up after her past. A highly suspenseful cat-and-mouse race, perfect for “One of us is lying” – and “A good girls guide to murder” – fans.

“The wind knows my name” by Isabel Allende: Emotional family story about different fates of flight during times of violence, war and poverty. Touchingly told across several generations and national borders.
“Neighbors” by Diane Oliver: An insightful collection of stories about racism, segregation, slavery and social injustice. Set in America in the 50s and 60s – more relevant than ever.
