    The well-traveled professional chef, author of 5 cookbooks, surfer and permaculture practitioner has been teaching thousands of people the simplicity and joy of conscious cooking in his courses, seminars and events for over 10 years. His specialty is new plant-based cuisine full of umami and oomph.

    Whether in his Grünwald kitchen, as founder and lecturer at the Plant-Based Institute, or in his online cooking school VEGAN MASTERCLASS: for Sebastian Copien, everything revolves around sustainably integrating the key factors of outstanding vegan cuisine into the everyday life of restaurants and private households - for a world with enjoyable and healthy food that is good for all living beings and our environment. To this end, he holds seminars, show cooking events and cooking classes in his Grünwald cooking location and throughout Europe, advises hotels and restaurants on a diverse plant-based cuisine and regularly hosts fine-dining dinner evenings.

    For Sebastian Copien, the themes of regionality, organic and sustainability are essential points of his cuisine and way of working. In a small garden in Munich, he therefore grows more than 50 different types of herbs and vegetables himself on 16 raised beds and 2 raised beds for his cooking courses and events in the style of permaculture.
